I purchased this CD solely to get a very clear and fine choral performance of "Good King Wenceslas" (Track 20). I was pleasantly surprised to find that this CD includes a "blockbuster" among its consistently fine (though artistically varied) performances. It is Track 11, Andreas Hammerschmidt's "Alleluja!5/5(5).

The superb voices of three choirs--Westminster Cathedral, the Cantorium Choir, and the Alexandra Choir--combine with organ, timpani, the Fanfare Trumpeters of the Royal Military School of Music, and the magnificent acoustics of Westminster to create a powerful effect in the performance of 16 carols such as "O come all ye faithful," "Silent /5(6).
